Which statement is true of a comparison between WPA and WPA2?

  1. WPA uses pre-shared keys, whereas WPA 2 uses PSK.
  2. WPA uses EAP authentication, whereas WPA 2 uses 802.11X.
  3. WPA uses personal mode, whereas WPA 2 uses enterprise mode.
  4. WPA uses TKIP/MIC encryption, whereas WPA 2 uses AES-CCMP encryption.

The correct answer is 4.

WPA2 is an enhancement to WPA. WPA uses TKIP/MIC encryption, whereas WPA 2 uses AES-CCMP encryption. Both can use IEEE 802.1x or EAP authentication in Enterprise mode, or can use PSK in personal mode.
