The three (3) types of services are core, enhancing and enabling.
- Core services are the basic functionality of the service that the customer is paying for.
- Enhancing services are the additional functionality that provide differentiation. They are sometimes know as excitement factors.
- Enabling services are those service assets that are required for the delivery of services. Examples of enabling services are the servers, applications, training, databases and network devices.
